Which is best: Crosley or Teac automatic vinyl LP to CD recorder?
I want to record my vinyl albums and cassettes to CDs, but I am not a technically sophisticated guy, so I want to make it as simple as possible. It is my impression that there are three fairly simple vinyl to CD recorders that I can consider: Crosley Songwriter CR 248 PA Teac GF-650 Teac GF-350 I have read that the Teac GF-350 makes low quality CD recordings, and if that is so, I don't want it. Can you confirm whether that is true? That leaves the Crosley Songwriter CR 248 PA and the Teac GF-650, both which sell for $400-$500. I would be very interested in seeing what you think about: Is either the Crosley Songwriter CR 248 PA or the Teac GF-650 easier to use, or less buggy? Which of the Crosley Songwriter CR 248 PA or the Teac GF-650 makes better sounding LPs to CDs? I have a really high quality cassette deck, can I use the AUX input on the Teac GF-650 to record my cassettes onto CDs? Anything else I should consider?

I'd use a USB Record player recorder it hooks to your PC and converts them to what ever format E.g mp3 do a google search on them. All the best mp3 and mp4 players http://www.mp4direct.org

Best CD recorder, help?
My dad's birthday is coming up and my brother and I want to get him a CD/Cassette recorder. I've been searching online for a couple of weeks now, and I just can't seem to find anything that meets ALL of the criteria he needs: *It MUST have AM/FM radio *It MUST be able to record from the radio (he records radio broadcasts) *It MUST have a cassette recorder as well It would be a nice addition to have a remote control, for it to be able to transfer cassette tapes over to CD's, etc. If anyone can recommend a good device with the necessary criteria I would truly, greatly appreciate it. P.S. I've looked into most of the Crosley products and apparently their products don't allow radio recording due to copyright reasons so if you've tried another trusted brand that you can recommend, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

I just got a record player anyone have any good, easy tips for making sure everything stays running smoothly?
questions such as should i get new sleeves? i keep reading about paper pulp getting in the grooves and stuff like that. Here's the record player i have http://cgi.ebay.com/Crosley-CD-Recorder-CR2406-PA-Director-Turntable-Tape-/310241454843#ht_1669wt_1139. im not in a huge worry about anything because i have the albums on mp3 also, but i want to keep them going good for as long as possible obviously. also is this a good record player? will buying external speakers or anything like that help the sound significantly? it sounds fine right now without any additions.

just make sure it's not dusty before you put a record on and you'll be fine. I got the exact same model 3 years ago, and it still spins my records like a champ. It doesn't have an EQ, and everything has an old timey sound to it, but I dig it.
